Issues!!!

I'm having issues with my stupid Tilted Duster.
I hate it. I think it came out too small even though I'm pretty sure it came out close to the schematics, if not spot on (head hurts too much to go look for the magazine right now).
Nevermind the fact that I absolutely STINK at putting sleeves in. All my "I rock" feelings from yesterdays Fearless Finishing class have swiftly exited and now I've convinced myself that I can't knit for crap.

I'll probably never wear the darned thing...since it will never be finished. And it's curling even though I crocheted the darn edges.

Rhinebeck!!

Oh the gloriousness! (there will be many pictures)
Ed and I traveled to Rhinebeck, aka New York Sheep and Wool Festival. It had been downright nasty weather-wise when we went to bed, but I was pleased to see that when we woke up, it had dried up and as we traveled, it got sunnier. As a side note, as I was showering I asked myself "Am I really getting up this early for yarn?" I then realized that I get up that time everyday for yarn! (It wasn't bad...6:30).

Time for the Revolution

Okay everyone, you had best all be planning on being at Webs on Sunday for the US Launch of Crochet Me: Designs to Fuel the Crochet Revolution by Kim Werker.

Negative One Year Anniversary

I talked to Ed this morning and he wished me a happy negative one year anniversary. Our wedding is in one year...one year from today (though there's not much left to today)...10/10/08. It's funny how we decided on the date. We were at the Hotel Northampton finding out what dates they had open. Ed liked the sound of 10/10. I didn't love the idea of a Friday...I didn't want to inconvenience people, but Fridays are cheaper and 10/10 is hard to forget. Anyway, the 10th makes sense. We got together on a 10th, and we were engaged on a 10th. It just makes sense to get married on a 10th! I can't believe it's in a year and how little I have done.

Seams Bad

Seamed the pieces of the Tilted Duster.
I was planning on putting the sleeves in now and not waiting until the end. Once I started seaming...yeah, changed my mind and remembered why exactly seaming makes me want to rip my hair out. I'm never happy with my results.
Anyway, it's been seamed and stitches have been picked up.
I'm sure I'll have trouble setting in the sleeves, but I'm hoping one of my kind, helpful co-worker friends will take pity on me if need be and help me out. :)

Exhausted

I had a great weekend, but I am EXHAUSTED. I don't even think it's from what I did this weekend...looking back on it...it really wasn't that much. I think I'm just tired and it doesn't catch up with me during the week because I have so much stuff going on that I don't have time to realize that I'm tired.
Anyway, yesterday was the official opening of Linda's winery...Pioneer Valley Vineyard. They did a fabulous job! Ed and I tried the wines and settled on Raspberry and Cranberry. (Though I also enjoyed the blueberry, and Ed was a fan of the apple.)
