Gone in a Flash...
All the hard work, planning, and stressing is done. Stephanie Pearl-McPhee (the Yarn Harlot) has come and gone. It's all over...
But it was SPECTACULAR!!
We had over 400 people come to the Calvin to listen to her speak, and she did an excellent job. It's always nice to hear another knitter talk about...knitting. And how other people (the Muggles as Stephanie calls them) don't understand.

I have finished the major work on the Beachcomber Tunic...just finishing left...which I think I will LEAVE until the weekend.

The Unofficial Start of Summer...and the Wall of Shame...
Memorial Day already...I can't believe it. I also can't believe that it's 8:30 and still fairly light out. I can remember being little this time of year and thinking how can I go to bed now? It's still light out!

We had a very nice relaxing weekend. I took Friday off, so I had and extra long weekend. It gave me time to work on my projects and do a bit of pondering about my future projects...more on that later.

Ouch...again!
This time it is my head. I have got a BAD headache tonight...REALLY bad. Could be too little sleep and too much stress. In fact, that is probably what it is. But, the prospect of just two more days of work has be pretty happy, or as happy as I can be with a nausea inducing headache.
The bad news is it hurts to knit...or even think about it. The good news, I just powered through the last of my project for Melissa, so that's done!
I think it's time for pjs and staring longingly at the knitting...oh and drugs. Then, I will feel better at 11pm and want to knit, but I will have to go to sleep.

I think I'm getting a blister/callus/yarn burn? from the Silky Wool. Seriously!
I've been feverishly knitting on the sleeves of the Beachcomber Tunic...at the same time. It's driving me INSANE!! I'm going to be so happy when the knitting part of this is done. I understand that I will have the knitting of both of them done soon, but it really seems to be taking so much longer. Not to mention I kinda messed up a bit...no big deal, missed some increases, but I've already worked them in, and I'm totally not concerned about it, and I did the same thing to both since they are being knit at the same time, so I'm all set.

I Love my Mom!
It's Mother's Day, and I just want to say that I love my Mom!! She's the best!!

Anyway, I've made some progress on the Beachcomber Tunic. The back is done, the fronts are just about done...just need to do the crochet on the tops (bottom is done last) and then the sleeves. I have started the sleeves. Working on them at the same time, which means it is going to seem like it's taking forever.
I want to start one of the projects from Fitted Knits soon.
Maybe I'll do a gauge swatch tomorrow after work.

Hope everyone had a nice weekend and all the mommies had a very happy Mother's Day. I think my Mommy did!

Vacation Yarn Doesn't Count...

Ed and I took a weekend away to Maine. We visited two yarn shops. Halcyon and Purl Diva in Bath and Brunswick respectively.

Yes, things are finished...though not as many things as I would like.
The closet is finished, and it's still clean!
It is a beautiful thing to be able to find my...THINGS.
I can see my yarn, which isn't necessarily a good thing.

Hopefully I can crank out some projects.
