Cursed...

We got some Lorna's Laces Shepard Sock in the store MONTHS (edit: now that I think about it, it was a year ago!!) ago. I bought two skeins each of two different colors. Some Vera and some Purple Club. This was before I was sock obsessed mind you!
So, I've started, ripped, and re-started a sock in the Purple Club numerous times since I purchased it.
I love the yarn, I love the color, but this particular yarn in this particular color, in my particular hands IS CURSED!!! I could not find a pattern I liked in it, so it has been staring at me for months sitting on my nightstand (which doubles as yarn storage). Every night before I go to bed it looks at me...angrily....

The Rains....

Okay, I think we all may have to build boats. I have today off and am taking in some afternoon news. They are closing roads lefts and right. They've closed Rt. 20 in Westfield...I just hope Ed can get home! As long as it stays off of Rt. 10, he'll be okay.

And, if it doesn't stop raining soon, and the ground doesn't dry out, we may get stuck in Northampton's "new" conservation stuff they want to actually put on the books...that would be BAD and I don't want to talk about it :-P

Challenges...

So, I've been facing a few personal challenges lately. Nothing major, just some lame stuff in my own head/body.

I have been stuck for quite a few months and haven't been able to lose. I don't want to accept the idea that this may be it. I can't help but think if I could just exercise more, it would help. And maybe it would. Maybe I should get up and exercise like I have been, and then again in the evening after dinner. When I think of that, it just makes me tired though. If I want it bad enough I will do it. And I DO want it...just maybe not as bad as I think I want it...I can't keep thinking "next week will be the week."

Easter...

Today was a great day! I woke up and actually exercised...I was planning on doing so twice today, but my body disagreed, so I just went along with it.
The Bunny was good to me...brought me chocolate (I'll have enough until Christmas...the good stuff!), PJ pants, and yarn (in the form of a gift certificate, and yarn that has yet to arrive).

We had filet for dinner...it was tasty. I felt good because I totally didn't overdo it. Ed did a very good job with the grill.

Then we had dessert in front of the tv and watched The Masters. Now, I'm not usually one for golf, but the couch was really comfortable, as was the blankie!

I appear to be obsessed with the color green at the moment. All I want is green yarn. A far cry from my usual pink. Though, if you get the right green and the right pink, you've got a fancy combination.

The cat is acting weird...it's bothering me...I'm afraid there's another mouse. I don't know if I ever posted about the mouse, but there was a mouse in my room...thanks to my dad and some peanut butter, the mouse doesn't live here anymore. I feel a little bad...but I really don't like to share my space.

Ok, Massive Update!

The knitting is DONE!! Well, at least the vest for the store and the socks too! I did some marathon knitting yesterday...knit one whole gosh-darned sock. I did not love these socks. I cannot tell you how many times I had to go back and un-knit the stupid things. I am both happy and disgusted by the vest that I made. I'm nervous that some people will like it and actually want the pattern.
