Year just flew by

The Year Just Flew By....
I've got a lot of updating to do, what with new yarn and projects done, but after the weekend, I'm pretty tired.
Yesterday, August 4th was Mikey and Drew's first birthday, and today was their party.
They usually get smaller pieces of food on their tray, so they weren't quite sure what to do at first (Mikey is on the left and Drew on the right)...
Soon enough, they had it figured out...
And by they end, they were a sticky chocolatey mess...the only way to spend a first birthday party!
Happy Birthday Mikey and Drew!!
Yes, Auntie Mary made them something for their birthday. Out of the new Reynolds Kids booklet. It's the letter sweater using Reynolds Play Time. There was supposed to be elbow patches, but Auntie Mary ran out of time...as it was I was cutting it close getting them done.
The yarn is soft, though a little splitty to work with. Stitching on the M wasn't too much fun, but the A was easy. I went for A for Andrew, though I debated up until this morning whether do to A or D. Overall, I'm pleased, but wish I had had more time to work on it, but also impressed I got them done. I just hope they fit. I made the 18 months size, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
I can't believe it's been a year already...I can remember meeting them for the first time (one year ago today) like it was yesterday! :)
New yarn arrivals will probably show up in the next couple days. I'm very excited about the new limited edition Tofutsies color that came in on Friday and can't wait to use it, but have to get a few more projects out of the way!

those are cute little cardies, Auntie Mary. Makes me wish I was 2 feet tall.

I love the first birthday thing. They're always so funny to watch.
