Vacation yarn doesnt count

Vacation Yarn Doesn't Count...

Ed and I took a weekend away to Maine. We visited two yarn shops. Halcyon and Purl Diva in Bath and Brunswick respectively.
Both shops had very nice people, and some very nice yarn. I came home with some chenilles from Halcyon. One for a washcloth from Weekend Knitting and on to try out on the Flip Loom. (Of course, I have to get the project ON there off of it...maybe this weekend.)
At Purl Diva I purchased some J.Knits sock yarn in the New Jersey colorway and some Misti Alpaca Laceweight in a color that we don't carry. For some reason, the lavenders were calling out to me. J.Knits are clearly going to be socks, and I'm contemplating crochet with the laceweight, but we're having crochet issues at the moment.
Yes, the Beachcomber Tunic is going slower than I had hoped. I had hoped to have the back done today, but I have one more repeat of the crochet pattern and it's 9:30.
I spent some time spiffing up the blog....and my new domain name. 43skeins.com. But, if you go to knit-works.com, you'll still find me.
Here's a picture of the Yarn Pirate I promised. Apple, Neapolitan, and Dogwood.
They are beautiful and someday they will be beautiful socks.

And now, a picture of Agnes, cause I felt like it.

LOL! Agnes doesn't really like other cats. I think she's afraid of them!
She is rather little!

I'm excited to use the Yarn Pirate, but have other projects to attend to first!

That cat is very cute. We think she should come and meet Mel. So long as he does not sit on her and squash her to death...

I love the yarn pirate neopolitan. I really love those colors. Maybe when we're on vacation I will have to look up yarn stores.
