The Rains....
Okay, I think we all may have to build boats. I have today off and am taking in some afternoon news. They are closing roads lefts and right. They've closed Rt. 20 in Westfield...I just hope Ed can get home! As long as it stays off of Rt. 10, he'll be okay.
And, if it doesn't stop raining soon, and the ground doesn't dry out, we may get stuck in Northampton's "new" conservation stuff they want to actually put on the books...that would be BAD and I don't want to talk about it :-P
Yesterday we went to The Bushnell to see Spamalot. At first, I wasn't thrilled with it, but once we got home and I thought more about it, I realized that I did, in fact like it. I think the problem was the people in front of us and surrounding us. In front of us we had a freaky family that smelled like dirty clothes. Next to them was a complete jackass who laughed loudly at everything and recited lines. Behind us was an obnoxious family who had comments about everything, including how if they had known that the seats were so bad, they wouldn't have bought them. The seats were not bad. It was the mezzanine level, so you were above the stage. You could see the actors fine, except when the stinky father in front of you kept moving in your way. I think at plays though, i like to sit a few rows back from the stage, right in front. We did that at Beauty and the Beast and it was great, because you looked up and could see everything.
I'm hoping to get a lot of knitting in today, but so far, I haven't had the motivation to sit and work at it...it's already 20 after 12....
Well, I'll keep my fingers crossed for everyone who lives near water!
