Cursed...

We got some Lorna's Laces Shepard Sock in the store MONTHS (edit: now that I think about it, it was a year ago!!) ago. I bought two skeins each of two different colors. Some Vera and some Purple Club. This was before I was sock obsessed mind you!
So, I've started, ripped, and re-started a sock in the Purple Club numerous times since I purchased it.
I love the yarn, I love the color, but this particular yarn in this particular color, in my particular hands IS CURSED!!! I could not find a pattern I liked in it, so it has been staring at me for months sitting on my nightstand (which doubles as yarn storage). Every night before I go to bed it looks at me...angrily....
Finally a few days ago I decided that I had had enough of the yarn judging me. I'm not about a third way up the foot of a PLAIN ol' stockinette stitch sock. I may do the leg in some sort of rib, but that's a decision to be made later. I'm just happy the yarn will no longer be mocking me. I just hope the yarn is not cursed enough that I am extra-clumsy when I wear it.

Finished one Tofutsies sock...will start the other one soon, but I have been distracted. (P.S. scored an AWESOME color of Tofutsies from the store...Sock Boot Camp...which I missed, but boy, I have got some awesomeness from it anyway)

So, distraction. In the latest issue of Interweave Crochet, there is a beautiful knit/crochet pattern...Beachcomber Tunic. I LOVE this thing. I'm doing it in a lovely green Silky Wool (green obsession). I knit, knit, knit on the back until I thought I could not knit or purl another row and I finished the knit part. I'm not on the crochet part of the back and I love it more. It's not a hard pattern, but it does take some time to complete.

I will share pics once I stop being lazy and fire up the desktop.
Closet getting near done, which means my life will go back to normal.

OH, and Fitted Knits, by Stephanie Japel...AWESOME!! I seriously want to know more that half the patterns in this book...very unusual for me. I actually went into work intending to come home with three...no FOUR projects from the book. I came home with nothing though. I feel like I'm getting a cold and am in no position to make color decisions...maybe tomorrow.
